The tools on this site shuffle, compute and look things up. They do not forecast events. Where a page describes what a card, sign, number or hexagram is traditionally taken to mean, it is reporting what a tradition says, not asserting that it will happen.
The random draws are produced by an ordinary pseudorandom number generator in your browser. When a spread link reproduces the same cards, that is because the number that generated it travels in the URL, not because the result was fixed for you.
None of the five systems published here has a demonstrated causal mechanism, and none has produced reliable results under controlled testing. We publish them as bodies of cultural, historical and psychological material worth reading carefully. That is the claim being made, and it is the only one.
Dream-symbol dictionaries in particular have no empirical support. Our dream pages say what the analytic traditions read into a symbol, and separately what sleep research has actually measured, and they keep the two apart.
Every calculation runs in your browser. Birth dates, birth times, names and typed questions are not transmitted to us, not stored, and not associated with you. Refreshing the page discards them.
Historical claims on this site are made as carefully as we can make them, and where a tradition is disputed the page names the dispute rather than settling it silently. We will still get things wrong. Corrections are made on the page.
